erica + pete

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm always up for a challenge AND always willing to try anything...at least once. So when Erica and Pete said that they really wanted to have part of their engagement session on her parent's boat, I was totally on board (no pun intended). At the same time I knew in order to get the right perspective for some of the shots, I wouldn't be able to actually be ON the boat. **Jet Ski**, problem solved! So on a warm summer day on the Mississippi, we set sail to capture to some gorgeous engagement images for these two love birds!

I've done this enough to realize that there is always a reason "why" couples want to have their pictures taken here or there. And after a few minutes on the boat with Erica, Pete and her Dad, I quickly realized this meant a lot more to them than just pretty pictures. Boating is a huge part of their family's life and Erica spent her childhood growing up on the water and so again, it was more than having pretty pictures on the water.

We did of course do alot more than just boating for their shoot but that was definitely the highlight and what I will always remember as one of the most unique engagement sessions that I've had the pleasure of being able to capture. We even got Pete's 4x4 in on the action which wasn't too bad considering it's a Ford ;) Enjoy!
